Nice place to hang out with its lovely interiors and 24-hr operating time, especially on a weekend night when you’re looking for something that’s open till late. Tried the rainbow cake which is priced at $9.8. Thought that the price was a little steep, but the slice of cake is good and a comforting treat.
We usually go to this Coffee Bean outlet.
However, they must have changed something in the time since the last visit and now.
The chicken and mushroom fusilli pasta is quite sauceless and... tasteless. The drinks are still alright.
Staff seems different but still generally nice. Except for one who has a different way from everyone else of pronouncing "onion", and making me feel like i can't speak English properly. It was quite insulting.
Since we usually come here for food too, and not just drinks....... might have to think twice about coming here again.
24 hours coffee on Orchard, 5 points for just that. Everything else is also great.
I ordered the tuna spaghetti and ice blended mocha coffee. It was delicious.
The staff is also great and keep telling you about new offers. They have a new breakfast set, which is usually some eggs, bread and a specific kind of coffee. I have added a picture of the set for reference. $8 for 1 and $12 for 2 sets. Well worth the money
The service is really bad and absolutely disappointing. They serve the coffee 1 hour before serving the breakfast. Coffee gets so cold. The staff doesn’t even say anything when we mention about this. The staff has really bad attitude and doesn’t respect the customers at all. THE WORST CAFE IN SINGAPORE!!
Food: I ordered their spicy tuna spaghetti & was satisfied with it as it had a generous amount of lightly spiced well seasoned sauce.
Drink: I ordered Vanilla Latte and found it to be good although the amount of cream in it was too much for my liking.
Atmosphere: It has a large seating area - indoor and outdoor.
Service: Very fast and that could be because there weren't a lot of customers when I visited.
Visited this CBTL outlet on one of the weekend nights.
Ordered the cookie crumble with the Chicago cheese cake. And CBTL never disappoints.
Lovely ambience but slightly crowded during the weekends.
Tip: when you are viewing the reviews of a place, do sort by NEWEST ;)
Terrible service, terrible atmosphere, and terrible terrible staff (oh yah, and the food sucks). Came in at 1am hungry for a light bite or two, happy to notice there is a 24hour cafe to fulfil this.
Place was quiet with only the cashier taking orders from customers. Suddenly while ordering, this cleaner(?), angular bald man wearing singlet and shorts, storms out of the kitchen and grabs things from cashier area, slamming cupboard doors as he leaves.
My company and I were alarmed but shrugged it off. Two of us sat down and waited for food in silence and again cleaner guy rushes out, exchanging incoherent words and some clearer words I know are all only profanities, with the cashier lady, who answers him soulessly.
The kicker is that just before he goes back into the kitchen, he shoots a sharp glare to our table. Then as if to taunt us, he comes out again when a guy customer is ordering, gets something from a drawer and closes it softly but loudly apologizes to the customer, then gives a longer stare to us as he goes in the kitchen.
Already we are deeply regretting to eat there but what to do? So we just tahan while exchanging a few mean looks to the clearly screw loose cleaner guy, gave up eating half of the expensive trash tuna sandwich, and left upset.
Eh coffeebean, orchard road leh, you hire staff that want find problem ah? Go find with the drunk people outside lah. Late and lazy to take order just close shop or say drinks only. Still show attitude to customers that nice to you, not even big group make noise create ruckus mess up the place then leave without cleaning those. We come here order nicely thank you politely, spill on table still wipe for you, but get like this kind face. Like that I rather eat hawker centre lah please. In the words of YOUR cleaner 'your madder fadder die then you know, i kill them' :)))
This CBTL is quite empty even during weekday lunch hour, so I wanted do some work here. I bought a sandwich and instead of eating and doing my work, I ended up fighting with not one, but four to five flies.
Unfortunately, I could not get my work done in peace because I had to constantly protect my food 🥲 ciabatta sandwich was not too bad though
